Engineering Manager

A manufacturer of niche electronic products has an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to progress in a management role. Reporting to the Managing Director with responsibility for leading a team in engineers, ensuring all products meet company and customer specifications.


Key Duties:

Controlling product development projects
Generate ideas for new / modified products
Management of a team of design and development engineers
Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal sales and service teams
Organise training and on going support for company products, producing documentation and user manuals
Mechanical, electronics and software design and liaising with external designers (e.g. PCB, EMC)
Sourcing and assessing suppliers and sub contractors


Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Educated to HNC level or above
Experience in a leadership / management role
Experience of mechanical design, analogue and digital circuit design
EMC knowledge
Knowledge of real time software and hardware / firmware interfacing
