At RJN Engineering Selection we recruit maintenance engineers for permanent positions in the Midlands region and regularly monitor average salaries to advise hiring managers and job seekers. The average maintenance engineer salaries in the counties we work in are currently:

 

• West Midlands - £ 42,568 (based on 1,170 advertised jobs)

• Warwickshire - £43,837 (based on 133 advertised jobs)

• Staffordshire - £43,082 (based on 240 advertised jobs)

• Shropshire - £43,336 (based on 97 advertised jobs)

• Worcestershire - £ 2,532(based on 83 advertised jobs)

 

Advertised vacancies in the Midlands are slightly below the national average which is currently £42,957. Although these jobs can include positions such as facilities maintenance they do give a good indication of the rate employers need to be looking at paying to attract good candidates before taking into consideration shift allowances, benefits, bonuses etc.
