SERVICE ENGINEER

Service Engineer
West Midlands
Monday to Friday days
£36k-£45k per annum negotiable


Are you a multi skilled service or maintenance engineer looking for a field based role in the West Midlands, working Monday to Friday days with no call outs? We have an opportunity to join an independent company who provide design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and maintenance services for materials handling systems. 

 

Duties will include:

​

  • Installation, service and repair at customer sites such as steel processing, automotive and aerospace manufacturing

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting

  • Factory based fitting and testing

  • Covering West Midlands with occasional nationwide travel 

​

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

​

  • City and Guilds / NVQ level 3 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering

  • Previous experience in either a maintenance or field service role in manufacturing or heavy industry

  • Mechanical skills including working with gears, brakes, hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Electrical experience including working with control panels, inverters and plcs

  • Full clean driving licence

  • Computer literate

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Able to work at heights

  • Ideally hold Safety Passport, IPAF and PASMA

Basic salary negotiable depending on experience in the region of £36k-£45k, company vehicle, phone, tablet provided. 40 hours per week 07:30 - 16:00 with 30 minutes lunch, overtime often available at weekends paid at 1.5.
