Steel Processing

£35k - £40k per annum

Monday to Friday

The Company:

​

Part of a large global group specialising in steel processing and distribution, two sites in the UK including Dudley employing over 100 people.

​

The Opportunity:

​

You will be working as part of a team of 4 responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance. Hours of work Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm, with overtime available weekdays and Saturday mornings. Opportunity to move to afternoon shifts Monday to Thursday 12pm-10pm once familiar with the site. The company can offer a wide range of training initiatives on site including; LOLER, PUWER, Oxy Fuels, Crane Training, Coded Welding, and MEWP.

Responsibilities:

​

You will be working on equipment including slitting, decoiling and plating lines, lathes and milling machinery responsible for day to day maintenance tasks including preventative and reactive maintenance.

​

About you:

​

Experience in the steel industry including good knowledge of steel slitting processes is preferred, apprentice trained with City and Guilds / NVQ in electrical or mechanical engineering. Able to read technical documentation and schematics. Experience of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics and welding and fabrication required.

​

Remuneration and Benefits:

​

Basic salary in the region of £35k - £40k per annum, overtime paid at time ¼ during week, time ½ Saturdays. Competitive pension scheme, 31 days paid holiday.
